 …and that brings me on to who are ‘we’?

 All reviews and news articles are effortlessly written by Jo Lander (Kiddo), Dave Ball (Onion) and Mat Webb (Moonwatcher). We have known each other for nearly 10 years now and often lived together though our University Years devouring just about as much Film and TV as our clapped out VHS player (what’s that?!) could handle! Kiddo & Moonwatcher are actually engaged and have a Labrador called Molly but that’s a story for another day. So, here we are; we thought it high time that we actually give something back to the Film World in the form of our completely rounded and unbiased Movie opinions! /cough

 The aim of the site will be to build up a database of reviews over time to help provide complete profiles on anything film related you can think of. We recognise that often people want to get a good review of a film but also love to follow up on this by gaining easy access to similar films or styles, this is something we can help with! We aim to deliver a little more of a personal service than for example the masters over at Empire or Total film without losing any of the quality.

What to expect from Cinepedia?

We are looking into more interactive movie reviewing techniques than you can shake a stick at. In the coming Year we hope to hold some ‘as you watch it’ reviews on new films (on the site and through Twitter) as well as some good old fashioned movie marathons at cinemas across the country & even in your own home. We are keen to engage with you, the film watching public, as much as possible and we will be encouraging sessions of discussion on some of the greatest films of all time, as well as some of the most controversial.

 You might notice on the menu we have our very own Film Club running with some of the finest young men and women the west midlands has to offer (ok,  so it’s just a bunch of our friends…), please read along and see how things are going, we find it the perfect vehicle for friends of all interests to really engage with each other and grab a few movies at the same time! Later in the year we will open this up as a guide for all of you out there who would also love to be in a film club but are unsure about how to go about it.
